RELATIONSHIP

COUNSELING

Underneath every conflict lies a deeper need for connection. When we uncover that need, we move closer instead of further apart.

Couples Counseling

Want to feel more connected in your relationship?

I provide a compassionate and supportive space where you and your partner can better understand yourselves and each other. Relationships can sometimes feel stuck in negative cycles, and my goal is to help you recognize and shift these patterns. Together, we’ll explore how past experiences, relationship injuries, temperament, culture, age, health, and sexuality shape the way you relate to one another.

Our work will focus on rebuilding trust, strengthening connection, and developing strategies to navigate intense emotions and communicate with intention. I draw upon practices that are informed by science, but are ultimately human.  Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is at the heart of my work, and I also integrate principles from the Gottman Method and the Developmental Model.

My style is interactive, collaborative, and focused—I’ll actively support and guide you while creating space for deeper understanding and growth.

Individual Counseling

I work with individuals navigating relationship challenges—whether it’s managing conflict, rebuilding trust, or reconnecting with yourself. My goal is to help you feel grounded and resilient in the face of life’s stresses.

My approach is both relational and skill-based. Together, we’ll explore relationship patterns, build insight, and develop practical tools to manage emotions, communicate effectively, and strengthen emotional resilience. Drawing from DBT and mindfulness, I create a calm, nonjudgmental space where you can find clarity and growth.

More about
Andrea

I’ve been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) since 1999 and feel privileged to have worked with a diverse range of individuals and couples. For the first two decades of my career, I primarily worked with individuals, and in 2019, I shifted my focus to working primarily with couples. Supporting people through relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional struggles has been deeply meaningful, and I continue to find great fulfillment in this work.

In addition to my private practice, I run a support group focused on aging-related issues and serve as the Co-Director of Programs for EBCAMFT. My past experience includes work in addiction medicine, supporting individuals with severe mental health issues in an intensive outpatient program, addressing job-related stress, and engaging in Asian American community organizing.
